Medical Receptionist

As a Polyclinic Receptionist, your primary responsibility is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the front desk in a healthcare setting. You will be the first point of contact for patients, visitors, and medical professionals, playing a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and administrative support.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Patient Interaction**:
- Greet and assist patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Register new patients and update existing patient information in the electronic medical records system.
- Provide information about clinic services, policies, and procedures.
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, ensuring optimal utilization of available slots.
- **Telephone Management**:
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls to the appropriate staff or department.
- Take and relay messages accurately and promptly.
- Handle inquiries regarding appointments, services, and general information.
- **Appointment Scheduling**:
- Coordinate and manage the appointment calendar, ensuring efficient scheduling and avoiding conflicts.
- Work closely with medical staff to accommodate urgent appointments and prioritize patient needs.
- **Administrative Tasks**:
- Verify and update important information for both patients and doctors.
- Collect and process patient payments for services rendered.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the reception area.
- Manage and distribute incoming mails and calls.
- **Record Keeping**:
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.
- Safeguard patient confidentiality and adhere to clinic regulations.
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of various reports and documentation.
- **Collaboration**:
- Liaise with medical professionals, nurses, and other staff to facilitate smooth patient flow.
- Collaborate with other administrative staff to address broader clinic operational needs.
- **Problem Resolution**:
- Address and resolve patient concerns or complaints promptly and professionally.
- Escalate issues to the appropriate personnel when necessary.
**Qualifications and Skills**:
- Graduation or equivalent; additional education or training in healthcare administration is a plus.
- Proven experience as a receptionist or in a similar customer service role, preferably in a medical setting.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems and basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes is advantageous.
**Working Conditions**:
- Typically works in a climate-controlled office environment.
- May involve sitting for extended periods.
- Interaction with patients, medical professionals, and administrative staff is frequent.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
