**Job Description**:
**Architecture Development**:

- Contribute to developing and maintaining Architecture Guiding Principles, drawing on architectural knowledge and experience.
- Lead the development of new IT standards, analyzing and understanding the potential impact of competing technologies, assessing their strategic significance, defining their strategic role and scope, roadmap, and relationship to existing standards, and periodically reviewing our entire IT estate in the context of those standards.
- Develop technology strategy and roadmap for large initiatives/programs
- Develop Enterprise Architecture and/or Solution Architecture for such programs in an incremental fashion, based on risk/business need
- Identify risks and suggest/build early prototypes to mitigate them
- Provide technical leadership to the development team(s)
- Define Reference Architectures and architectural blueprints around Microservices/SOA, Information Architecture, Cloud, Integration with internal and external IT systems and SSO, IOT Architecture, Mobility/Presentation Architectures, etc.

**Architecture Advisory**:

- Track technologies and new business innovations to determine how they relate to IT strategy, existing standards, platforms, and patterns, and lead the work to amend the existing assets or create new assets to reflect changes in the technology landscape.
- Deliver technology advisory to clients in the area of technology adoption to business efficiency and expansion.
- Understand the long-term business objectives and suggest technical strategies to meet those objectives by introducing innovation through technology
- Be an evangelist and strong communicator of the architectural blueprints to mobilize the rest of the organization to build solutions that fit customer’s needs
- Be responsive and decisive in adjusting our product architecture as customer requirements, market conditions, and technology evolve
- Able to demonstrate and defend architecture to customer architecture teams and forums.

**Technology Ownership**:

- Lead solution design reviews and technical design reviews, ensuring that projects are following agreed corporate strategic direction and alignment to architectural standards and patterns.
- Lead strategic incubator projects that will take a strategically significant or innovative technology or architectural approach. This involves taking full responsibility for the solution architecture, leading the design and development of the solution, and taking overall responsibility for the management of the initiative, its budget, timescales, and dependencies. Such projects will create the foundations for strategic platforms on which future critical business systems will depend.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor or master’s degree in computer science or Information Technology
- 17+ years of experience, with at least 6-8+ yrs. of relevant experience and demonstrated success in a tier one technology consulting role, with particular emphasis on new technology adoption, digital transformation, cloud adoption, and architecture transformation
- Experienced in independently handling technology ownership of large programs in terms of technology, frameworks, and tools decisions
- Hands-on experience architecting solutions for distributed, mission-critical systems with an emphasis on real-time integration, high availability, scalability, and performance.
- Experience in detailed business system architecture and design, Technical leadership, and architecture experience.
- Knowledge of architectural design patterns, technical design, design reviews, architectural impact, and risk analysis.
- Should have experience in conducting architectural gap analysis and preparation of target state identification using methods like ATAM
