Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood and other samples from patients in their homes. This role requires excellent phlebotomy skills, strong attention to detail, and exceptional patient care. Phlebotomist must be able to work independently, follow strict protocols, and maintain accurate records.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Sample Collection: Perform blood draws and collect other types of specimens (such as urine, saliva, or swabs) from patients in their homes, adhering to established phlebotomy procedures and safety guidelines.

Patient Interaction: Interact with patients in a compassionate, professional, and courteous manner, ensuring their comfort and addressing any concerns or questions they may have regarding the sample collection process.

Equipment Preparation: Prepare the necessary equipment, including needles, tubes, labels, and requisition forms, to ensure accurate and efficient sample collection.

Documentation: Maintain detailed and accurate records of patient information, sample collection, and any relevant observations or incidents during the home visits. Complete all necessary paperwork and ensure proper labeling and handling of collected samples.

Quality Assurance: Adhere to quality control procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results, including proper sample handling, transportation, and storage. Follow established protocols for infection control and prevention.

Time Management: Plan and organize daily schedules to ensure timely and efficient home visits, taking into consideration factors such as location, traffic, and patient needs. Communicate any scheduling issues or delays to the appropriate individuals or departments.

Safety and Compliance: Maintain knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to phlebotomy, including proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials. Comply with all relevant privacy laws and regulations, protecting patient confidentiality and ensuring the security of personal health information.

Equipment Maintenance: Clean and maintain phlebotomy equipment, ensuring its proper functioning and reporting any issues or malfunctions to the appropriate personnel.

Professional Development: Stay updated with current phlebotomy techniques, industry trends, and best practices through continuing education, training programs, and professional conferences. Participate in performance evaluations and training sessions as required.

Qualifications and Requirements:
DMLT/BMLT or equivalent.( Must)

Proven experience as a phlebotomist, preferably with experience in home-based sample collection.

Strong knowledge of phlebotomy procedures, equipment, and safety protocols.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to provide compassionate care and maintain a professional demeanor.

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and sample collection.

Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

Ability to work independently and handle challenging situations with patience and empathy.
