Call for Handbook distribution Interns/volunteers.

This is a call for students and recent graduates who are interested in gathering enough experience to work for reputable national organizations as a community engagement intern. We are looking for interns to lead and support the Butterfly Hug project of our NGO.

Our organization is looking for a passionate and talented individual to join our community engagement team as an Intern. The intern will be responsible for Research and development, implementing and creating awareness about preventing gender-based violence, bystander intervention techniques, resources for survivors of violence, and increasing knowledge on individual rights, laws, and facets of trauma, tracking metrics, Report writing, collecting feedback from the participants after the awareness campaigns, and supporting the overall functioning of Operations.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
v Be part of awareness campaigns assigned to communities, schools, colleges, and others and engage with participants for the creation of awareness campaigns and the project

v Physically distribute handbooks to communities, ensuring they reach individuals who can benefit from the information

v Utilize graphic design tools like Canva to create visually appealing materials and signage for handbook distribution.

v Actively track engagement and learning metrics to ensure participants are on track with the project outcomes.

v Organize Awareness articles and write-ups through volunteers

v Set up feedback mechanisms with participants and collect feedback to gauge success and suggest improvements.

v Capture stories and learning of the program.

v Engage with community members to explain the purpose and content of the handbooks, answering questions and providing support.

v Providing information/data with participants about participation and results regularly. Building a healthy relationship with individuals or community participants.

v Resolving and clarifying doubts and queries while maintaining calm and professionalism.

v Maintaining community interaction records for future reference. Following up with the engagement work as and when required.

v It will also entail an average of seven working hours commitment per week leaving them with enough time to concentrate on their studies as well as other interests

**Requirements**:
Education: Graduation

Experience: 0-1 year of work-related experience

Willingness to travel, Graphic Design Proficiency, strong communication

Survivors of Violence were also encouraged to apply

Individuals who are in and around Chennai would be preferred
