**The Role Responsibilities**

**Job Role**

The role holder is part of Wealth Management Operations team and participate actively in the delivery of core programmes as per the operations and business roadmap as well as lead/support the achievement of Operations OKRs.

As an empowered decision maker, the product owner is accountable for maximising the business value of their product. PO-specific responsibilities include
- Create, execute and ensure continuous backlog management; expressing backlog items clearly and in a consumable format for assigned programmes / projects.
- Ensure regular engagement and management of Process Change, Operational and Delivery Risk for their backlog (and all other relevant Risk requirements).
- Partner with the WMO Head of Engagement and Enablement to deliver initiatives, new business and new products within Wealth Management Operations.
- Optimise value delivery through continuous improvement, gathering feedback from relevant stakeholders / SMEs / customers and prioritisation of backlog.
- May lead more than one programme / project and support the implementation of other initiatives as prioritised by the Head of WM Operations.
- Ensure all artefacts and assurance deliverables are as per the required standards and policies (e.g. nWOWS, CGP).
- Partner with the core platform teams and squad members by contributing to the Business plan and QPR scorecard.
- Present at all required ceremonies / events to provide early and continuous feedback and prioritisation.
- Create transparency around backlog item progress, blockers, impediments, dependencies.
- Accountable for the end to end delivery of projects and programme assigned to the PO.
- Ensure the voices of clients and relevant stakeholders are represented.

**Functional Alignment**
- Maintain strong stakeholder engagement with WM Business, COO / Operations, T&I, Risk and Compliance and Group Internal Audit to ensure alignment across stakeholder groups to support the tribe deliverables.
- Escalate appropriately to ensure key stakeholders like the accountable exec, Tribe Tech Lead and Chief product owner are updated and able to intervene as required.
- Ensure appropriate representation across the stakeholder groups in delivery forums.

- Set effective metrics and standards, transparently communicating them to squads.
- Ensure squad capacity is reviewed to enable delivery of client outcomes.

- 1st hand exposure to Wealth Management product suite, covering the controls, processing and regulations that govern the products.
- 10 - 12 years of experience in a operations / change / transformation role of a bank, or business analysis role.
- 5 years of experience in working with technology project teams, if there is experience representing business, it will be a significant plus.
- Strong skills in conceptual and quantitative problem-solving, aligning a broad range of stakeholders from multiple functions, and executing against a tightly defined timeline.
- Excellent professional skills, including verbal, presentation and written communication skills.
