Furniture, Furnishings and Equipment (FF&E Designer)
**Design work**
The FF&E focus will be on **sourcing, production, and documentation of the FF&E and interior finishes aspects of interior design projects, working with and under the direction of project team leaders**. Documents will include furniture plans, furnishing drawings, specifications, control samples, details, etc
- Assume an assistant role in design presentations in communicating with clients and ensure that format is compatible with office and client standards/requirements
- Help develop and execute the FF&E direction for overall project and communicate to the project team.
- Communicate project status to senior FF&E designer on a regular basis and develop and maintain communication with all project team members, including the operations director.
- Attend site meetings and assist in the process of reviewing the project.
- Designing and sourcing FF&E from concept through to finished details.
- Liaising with contractors and suppliers in order to ensure FF&E is delivered on time and on budget.
- Liaising with design and purchasing teams to ensure FF&E is in line with client expectations and to budget.
- Building relationships with suppliers and organising CPD days.
- Working on project ‘fit-outs’ and overseeing the installation of FF&E alongside contractors - involving stays away from home
- Participate in the establishment and maintenance of FF&E design standards for the company.
- Keep abreast of new trends that may influence FF&E design scheme
- Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned
- Assisting with relevant social media and marketing tasks
**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:
- Design talent
- Ability to establish logical action plans to complete work and provide technically sound solutions within deadline and budget constraints
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Photoshop, AutoCAD, InDesign and/or equal program for the production of drawings, mood boards and presentation material
