**Job Title: Payroll & Compliance Expert**

Rapid, an innovative and rapidly growing Employer of Record (EoR) platform serving the Indian market, is seeking a seasoned Payroll & Compliance Expert to join our dynamic team. As a part of our startup, you will be given the opportunity to make a tangible impact on our operations while we expand.

**Key Responsibilities and Duties**:

- Take charge of end-to-end payroll operations including the processing and distribution of employee payroll.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive payroll systems, adhering to current regulations.
- Serve as a liaison between Human Resources and Accounting, facilitating the efficient execution of pay, benefits, and other deductions.
- Understand and manage procedures for full and final settlements and terminations.
- Administer payroll for all employees and contractors, ensuring all necessary deductions are accurately processed.
- Drive the hiring process by issuing offer letters and employment agreements.
- Be proactive in managing KYC document requirements and effectively scrutinize all necessary paperwork.
- Oversee income tax declarations, proofs, and manage the filings for various other tax compliances.
- Ensure comprehensive compliance with labor laws and Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) guidelines.
- Take ownership of employee benefits, including health insurance, and coordinate background verification processes.
- Dive into broader administrative duties, including office management, vendor coordination, meeting arrangements, and creating a well-structured work environment.

**Qualifications**:

- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, ideally within a fast-paced startup environment.
- Deep understanding of Indian payroll, personal income tax, payroll policies and practices, and payroll software.
- Proficient in knowledge of accounting principles and practices, with a specific focus on payroll-related accounting.
- Proficiency in MS Office and payroll software.
- An analytical mind with problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle confidential information.

This role operates in a hybrid working model based out of Bangalore. **Salary**: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
