Job Summary

As an IT Tester, you thrive on working with your team to execute on the overall Software testing strategy, helping Telstra to simplify our IT systems, strengthen business resilience and ultimately maximise the value we deliver to our customers. You will be engaged to design and optimise testing opportunities within a variety of workstreams and functional areas across the enterprise. Your continuous learning and improvement mindset and collaboration skills are critical to success in this role, as you continue to build your knowledge and expertise in more complex test environments.

The role with us

The primary focus of this role is to provide software engineering technical expertise for O2A systems.

What you'll work on

As IT Tester you'll be...
- working with the capability Feature Team Lead and other team members to craft solutions that meet the strategic goals of the capability.
- assisting other team members in creation of technical components.

Key responsibilities
- Exposure to Manual & Automation Testing
- Design & develop test automation framework/Scripts for web, webservice, microservices, and performance testing.
- Execute & automate regression scenarios.
- Perform functional & non-functional testing.
- Continually improve technologies used by the team to deliver products and services to our customers.

About you

To be successful in the role, you must have:

- 3-7 years of relevant experience.
- Need to have a programmer mindset.
- Good knowledge of framework development & Reporting
- Experience in automation (Selenium, Rest Assured, maven, git, Jenkins/bamboo, Cucumber, TestNG, Karate.)
- Good experience in web & webservices automation.
- Good debugging & troubleshooting skill set.
- Knowledge of continuous integration/continuous deployment.
- Good to have exposure to AWS cloud services.
- Good to have exposure to containerization using docker.- Good to have exposure to telecom domain
