Job Summary :

- We are looking for a skilled Mainframe Developer to join our team.

- The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS, along with excellent analytical skills.

- The role involves working on development and maintenance projects, requiring flexibility and adaptability.

- Strong communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Additionally, familiarity with SDLC processes and understanding of Agile methodologies is required.

- Knowledge of the Corporate banking domain will be Develop, enhance, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.

- Analyze business requirements and design technical solutions to meet the project objectives.

- Collaborate with business analysts, QA testers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.

- Write and maintain technical documentation including program specifications, test plans, and user manuals.

- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, adherence to standards, and best practices.

- Perform unit testing and support system integration testing to validate functionality and identify defects.

- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to minimize impact on project timelines.

- Work closely with team members to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains.

- Follow SDLC processes and methodologies to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

- Adapt to changing project requirements and priorities with flexibility and professionalism.

- Communicate effectively with team members, project stakeholders, and management to provide status updates and escalate issues as needed.

Qualifications :

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 3+ years of experience in mainframe development using COBOL, DB2, JCL, and CICS.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

- Flexibility to work on both development and maintenance projects, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.

- Sound knowledge of SDLC processes and understanding of Agile methodologies.

- Familiarity with version control systems and change management processes.

- Experience in the Corporate banking domain is a plus.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively in a fast-paced environment.
