**About the Role**:
As an Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for managing the financial processes of our company. You will handle various operational accounting tasks including reconciling of accounts, managing lending and investment accounting reports, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You will also help in improving the systems and processes of the company. Your role is key in ensuring the company’s financial health by maintaining accurate records and ensuring that all financial transactions are processed correctly.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Maintain and update accounting records, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Handle accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and invoicing.
- Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
- Handle bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow, ensuring the availability of funds for daily operations.
- Liaise with external auditors, providing necessary documentation and reports as required.
- Working with the tech team and stakeholders to improve the systems and processes that drive the lending and investment business.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal control procedures.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and taxation.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good organizational and time-management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- B. Com or equivalent professional accounting qualification.
- Experience in general
