As a store officer for the furniture/wooden department at Knock on Wood, your role would involve various responsibilities related to managing inventory, ensuring smooth operations, and providing excellent customer service. Here's an overview of some of the key tasks you might handle:
1. **Inventory Management**: Keep track of incoming and outgoing inventory. Monitor stock levels of furniture and wooden products, and reorder items as necessary to maintain optimal inventory levels. Implement inventory control measures to minimize loss and ensure accuracy.

2. **Receiving and Inspection**: Oversee the receiving of new shipments of furniture and wooden products. Inspect items for quality, damage, and accuracy of order. Coordinate with suppliers or manufacturers regarding any discrepancies or issues with received items.

3. **Storage and Organization**: Properly store and organize furniture and wooden products in the warehouse or storage area. Ensure that items are stored safely to prevent damage and are easily accessible for retrieval when needed.

4. **Order Fulfillment**: Process customer orders efficiently and accurately. Retrieve items from inventory, pack them securely for shipping or pickup, and coordinate with the logistics team for timely delivery to customers.

5. **Customer Service**: Assist customers with inquiries, product selection, and purchases. Provide information about available products, pricing, and delivery options. Address any concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure a positive shopping experience.

6. **Maintenance and Cleaning**: Keep the store and storage areas clean and well-maintained. Perform regular inspections of furniture and wooden products for any damage or defects, and arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.

7. **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, sales transactions, and any incidents or issues related to products or customers. Generate reports as required by management to track performance and make informed decisions.

8. **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with other store staff, including sales associates, warehouse personnel, and management, to coordinate activities and ensure efficient operations across departments.
