**Qualification**:
Bachelors in engineering or equivalent
**Responsibility**:
**Requirement Analysis**:

- Study the requirements shared by performance analyst.
- Interpret the requirements and seek clarifications.
- Raise issues with requirements document and solutions for the same.
- Participate in KT calls to understand the requirements.

**Design and Development**:

- Collect data on production environment configuration from infrastructure team/ client.
- Provide inputs on test environment team to analyst.
- Review test scripts prepared by test engineer for various scenarios and validate same, as required.
- Conduct code profiling during development stage.
- Interpret profiling statistics and identify issues with the code.
- Discuss recommendations on code with analyst.
- Develop proofofconcepts in short turnaround.

**Knowledge Sharing**:

- Support in maintaining the CoE website.
- Collect and present technical artefacts on performance and scalability from various sources.
- Participate in knowledge sharing sessions on new technologies with other teams.
- Contribute to knowledge repository and tools.

- Load Testing like LoadRunner/Webload/OpenSTA/Silk Performer.

- Profiling like Jprofiler/Optimizit/DotTrace/Jprobe.

- Analysis Tools like GCViewer/ Heap analyzer / Thread Analyzer Statspack/DBMon/SQLProfiler.
- d.
- Monitoring Tools like NetMon/PerfMon/Unix perfmonitoring.

- Ability to work with the tools listed below & Demonstrate familiarity / understanding in one tool under each category in Projects or by Presentation.
- a Load Testing like LoadRunner/Webload/OpenSTA/Silk Performer.
- b Profiling like Jprofiler/Optimizit/DotTrace/Jprobe.
- c Analysis Tools like GCViewer/ Heap analyzer / Thread Analyzer Statspack/DBMon/SQLProfiler.
- d Monitoring Tools like NetMon/PerfMon/Unix perfmonitoring.
- Learn and Understand one under each category of the following technologies.
- a Appserver Websphere/Weblogic/Tomcat/JBOSS.
- b Language Java/Net/C++/Perl/C#.
- c Database Oracle/DB2/SQL/MYSQL.
- d Operating System Windows / Unix.
- Learn and understand Performance testing, NFR management and profiling concepts.
- For Mainframe associates, Learn and understand mainframe related technologies and AS400.

**Learn the Performance Engineering process**:

- a SOS Framework.
- b Knowledge of Service Offerings and their steps.
- c Understand Case Studies.
- d Master inhouse tools.
- e Study SOS handbook.

**Must Have Skills**
