Position - Production Manager

Job Location - GIDC Industrial Estate, Waghodiya, Vadodara

**Job Summary**:
The **Plant Head** is responsible for overseeing the entire operations of the manufacturing plant, ensuring efficient production, timely delivery, and high-quality products. This role encompasses overall management of the **Project Management**, **Materials Management**, and **Production Management** teams, which include the **Project Manager**, **Materials Manager**, and **Production Manager**. The Plant Head will ensure that all departments work seamlessly together to meet production goals, customer expectations, and operational excellence. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of manufacturing processes, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams effectively.

**Key Responsibilities**:Leadership & Team Management**:

- **Oversee and Manage Teams**: Lead and provide strategic direction to the Project Manager, Materials Manager, and Production Manager. Ensure coordination and effective communication across these departments to meet overall production and project goals.
- **Set Operational Goals**: Establish and communicate clear performance targets, timelines, and KPIs for each department and ensure alignment with the company's strategic objectives.
- **Foster a Collaborative Environment**: Promote a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and accountability across the plant. Ensure that departments work cohesively to achieve production and customer satisfaction goals.
- **Employee Development**: Support the growth and development of department heads and their teams. Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and identify training opportunities to ensure skills development.

**Project Management Oversight**:

- **Project Delivery Management**: Supervise the **Project Manager** to ensure the successful execution of customer projects, including sales coordination, customer engagement, on-site installation, and after-sales support.
- **Customer Relationship Management**: Ensure that the **Project Manager** maintains strong relationships with clients and ensures customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle, from order intake to post-installation support.
- **Cross-functional Coordination**: Oversee the coordination between the project management, sales, production, and logistics teams to ensure that projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

**Materials Management Oversight**:

- **Inventory and Materials Management**: Supervise the **Materials Manager** to ensure effective purchasing, inventory control, and material planning for all departments (Wood Shop, Press Shop, Powder Coating, Welding, etc.). Ensure the availability of materials and timely procurement to avoid production delays.
- **Supply Chain Optimization**: Work with the **Materials Manager** to build a streamlined supply chain process, ensuring mínimal material wastage, cost-effectiveness, and efficient use of resources.
- **Supplier Relationships**: Ensure that the Materials Manager develops strong relationships with suppliers and negotiates favourable terms, pricing, and lead times to support production demands.

**Production Management Oversight**:

- **Production Operations**: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the **Production Manager**, ensuring smooth operations across the **Wood Shop**, **Press Shop**, **Powder Coating Shop**, **Welding Shop**, **Pipe Bending Shop**, **Fabric Upholstery Shop**, and **Shop Maintenance**.
- **Production Planning & Scheduling**: Ensure the Production Manager develops and adheres to efficient production schedules, managing the balance between customer demand, plant capacity, and resource availability.
- **Quality Control**: Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring that production standards are met consistently, products are defect-free, and production is in compliance with customer specifications.

**Operational Efficiency & Cost Control**:

- **Process Optimization**: Identify and implement process improvements across all departments (Project Management, Materials Management, Production) to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve productivity.
- **Cost Management**: Monitor plant budgets and ensure efficient resource utilization. Work with department heads to reduce costs while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
- **Lean Manufacturing**: Implement lean manufacturing principles, such as 5S, continuous improvement, and waste reduction, to drive operational excellence.

**Health, Safety & Compliance**:

- **Safety Oversight**: Ensure all safety protocols are followed, working closely with the safety team and department heads to mitigate risks in production, materials handling, and installation.
