**Role Responsibilities**

Execute the coverage and associated workplan for the strategic enablement of the Correspondent Banking and Banks & Broker Dealer segments in FI.

Execute the 1st line ownership of risk associated with Standard Chartered’s Global Affiliates, acting as the strategic advisor to the SC Affiliate network, and where relevant CBR and BBD

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

**Strategy**
- Sound knowledge of Products, Policy, Process and Systems

**Business**
- Establish a work programme that concentrates on driving knowledge on the Bank’s relevant non-financial risk & control frameworks with respect to these clients.
- Implement measures that result in industry, regulatory and product knowledge being continually developed personally and within the team.
- Manage Standard Chartered and its subsidiaries to facilitate one bank connectivity and provide compliance oversight. Be the point of contact and provide oversight on CDD and account monitoring processes for all SCB Affiliates.

**Processes**
- Lead the process of CBDDQ renewals within the Affiliate team, for the Affiliate stage of the process
- Work closely with key stakeholders (_CFCC; RFCC; CEO/s office; Compliance; etc._) to ensure accurate representation and timely renewals of the document
- Periodically review the DOI linked to the process and make necessary amendments as required

**SWIFT KYC Registry**
- Accountable for ensuring that all the relevant fields in SWIFT KYC Registry are updated as per the SWIFT baseline standards
- Review and Approve drafts created with the SWIFT KYC Registry
- Build a strong rapport with internal and external stakeholders - SWIFT, FCC teams, Country Management teams and Support Groups - Technology, Corporate Secretariat, COO teams etc.
- Regularly review the process of Granting of SWIFT KYC Registry SCB Branch & Subsidiary Profiles
- Regularly review the process of Granting of SWIFT CSP Profiles
- Periodically review the DOI linked to the process and make necessary amendments as required

**Affiliate Due Diligence**:

- Ensure all required CDDs on SCB entities (Banking and Non-Banking) are completed in a timely fashion.
- Work on creation, updates and periodical review of CDD records on SCB systems through the Affiliates Due Diligence team
- Consult and provide advisory on the review of the static data for all SCB Affiliates and ensure correct tagging/mapping
- Ensuring deployment and execution of the Affiliate Due Diligence Policy and that the process is followed.
- Responsible for Affiliate Due Diligence Setup - handling the internal CDD’s as well as the external SWIFT profiling
- Act as a backup for the entire process

**Counterparty AML Response Request (**_CARR_**)**:

- Oversee the CARR process
- Tracking its MIS
- Document procurement & Distribution
- Manage escalations
- Review, provide support and oversee the completion and/or coordination of inbound AML and correspondent banking client questionnaires

Projects:

- Lead and help to co-ordinate and represent Affiliates (and where relevant support CBR and BBD) on FI wide initiatives
- Provide support on any remedial initiatives to improve governance and support the supervision of the Affiliate, CBR and BBD portfolios

**People & Talent**
- Demonstrate Leadership skills through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.

**Risk Management**
- Establish a work programme that concentrates on driving knowledge on the Bank’s relevant non-financial risk & control frameworks with respect to these clients.

**Governance**
- Provide support to the Correspondent Banking, Banks and Broker Dealers and Affiliates Governance forums.
- Provide the Governance overview of the affiliate population of CBR and non-CBR entities that are submitted to various country and Group committees and forums, ensuring that the appropriate processes are followed, and issues escalated accordingly. Ensure timely & quality submission
- Represent the Affiliates team in the Regional Governance forums
- Responsible for assessing the effectiveness of the Group’s arrangements to deliver effective governance, oversight and controls in the business and, if necessary, oversee changes in these areas; Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework, in which the Group operates, and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role
