Placement Officer

The Placement Officer for IT is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with IT companies to ensure successful placement opportunities for graduates and students. The officer will collaborate with the internal academic team, industry leaders, and students to match their skills and qualifications with suitable job openings. The role involves organizing campus drives, coordinating with IT recruiters, guiding students on employability, and ensuring high placement rates.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Industry Networking & Relationship Building**:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with IT companies, tech startups, and recruitment agencies.
- Identify and develop partnerships with top IT firms for student placements.
- Regularly communicate with industry partners to understand hiring trends, skill requirements, and potential job openings.
- **Placement Strategy & Execution**:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive placement strategy for IT students.
- Plan, organize, and conduct campus recruitment drives and off-campus placement opportunities.
- Coordinate with faculty and training departments to ensure students have the necessary skills and qualifications required by IT employers.
- **Career Counseling & Guidance**:
- Provide career counseling and resume-building workshops for students.
- Organize mock interviews, group discussions, and soft skills training.
- Guide students on various career paths in the IT sector, including software development, data analytics, cybersecurity, cloud computing, etc.
- **Student Engagement**:
- Create a database of student profiles and update it regularly with relevant skills, achievements, and certifications.
- Facilitate student-employer interactions via career fairs, networking events, and webinars.
- Prepare students for placement processes, including aptitude tests, coding assessments, and technical interviews.
- **Placement Metrics & Reporting**:
- Maintain records of placement statistics, including the number of students placed, salary packages, and employer feedback.
- Monitor placement trends and analyze data to improve future placement efforts.
- Generate reports for management on placement progress and strategies.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Contractual / Temporary
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
