Machine Shop Supervisor

**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supervise Night Shift Operations**: Lead and manage the night shift production team to ensure the timely execution of CNC machining tasks and adherence to production schedules.
- **Machine Setup and Programming**: Utilize expertise in CNC programming and job setup to prepare and configure machines for production runs accurately. Troubleshoot and optimize CNC programs to achieve high-quality output.
- **Quality Control**: Maintain strict quality control standards by conducting regular inspections of machined parts, checking measurements, and ensuring compliance with specifications.
- **Process Improvement**: Identify opportunities for process optimization, productivity enhancement, and cost reduction. Implement innovative approaches to streamline production procedures.
- **Training and Development**: Train new team members on CNC programming, machine setup, and safe operating procedures. Foster a culture of continuous learning and skill development within the team.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**: Collaborate with maintenance personnel to schedule preventive maintenance activities for CNC machines. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to minimize downtime.
- **Safety Compliance**: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and best practices to maintain a safe working environment for all team members.
- **Communication**: Maintain effective communication channels with the day shift production team and management to ensure smooth handovers and updates on production progress.
- **Inventory Management**: Monitor raw material and tooling inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted production and coordinate with the logistics team for timely replenishments.
- **Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain accurate production records, including job cards, work orders, and inspection reports. Prepare regular reports on production metrics, efficiency, and quality.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a CNC machine shop environment.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and job setup for various machining operations.
- Solid understanding of CNC machining principles and processes.
- Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise a night shift production team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot machine issues and optimize production processes.
- Knowledge of quality control techniques and measuring instruments for precision machining.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices for CNC machines.
- Strong commitment to workplace safety and enforcing safety guidelines.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide clear instructions.
- High attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality products.

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
