Mumbai, India Material Recycling Association of India Full time

We are currently seeking a Government Relations Coordinator for our Company, which is an association of Ferrous and Non-Ferrous recyclers. As the Government Relations Coordinator, you will play a vital role in assisting the management of government relations for our organization. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with association members on trade-related matters, facilitating communication with government and other authorities, managing events, attending webinars and seminars, and preparing presentations and speeches as needed. Additionally, you will be expected to undertake any other work assigned from time to time.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in managing government relations of the Company, including monitoring legislative and regulatory developments and their potential impact on the association and its members.
- Coordinate with members of the association to gather information and insights on trade-related matters, and help develop strategies and positions to advocate for the interests of the industry.
- Maintain effective communication channels with government agencies, policymakers, and other relevant authorities to represent the association's views, concerns, and priorities.
- Organize and manage events such as industry conferences, workshops, and stakeholder meetings, ensuring smooth logistics and successful outcomes.
- Attend various webinars and seminars related to government relations, policy developments, and industry trends, and provide insightful summaries and analysis to the association's management and members.
- Prepare presentations and speeches on behalf of the association's leadership team for engagements with government officials, industry stakeholders, and other external audiences.
- Stay updated on industry news, regulatory changes, and emerging issues affecting the recycling sector, and proactively share relevant information with the association's members and internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other teams within the association to align government relations efforts with broader organizational goals and initiatives.
- Undertake any other tasks or projects assigned by the association's management team.

**Requirements**:

- Preferably a Professional CS, CWA, MBA, Postgraduate, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
- Proven experience in government relations, public affairs, or advocacy, preferably within a trade association or relevant industry, will be an added advantage.
- Understanding of government processes, policy development, and legislative frameworks will be a strong asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including government officials, association members, and industry representatives.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to gather and interpret data to inform strategic decision-making.
- Knowledge of the recycling industry and related environmental policies and regulations is highly desirable.
- Willingness to travel frequently for meetings, conferences, and industry events.

**Salary**: ₹500,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per year
