**Job Summary**:The Tendering and Cost Estimation Specialist in the field of wastewater treatment is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates, bid proposals, and project budgets for wastewater treatment projects. This role requires a deep understanding of wastewater treatment technologies, engineering principles, procurement processes, and market trends. The specialist collaborates closely with various teams, including engineering, procurement, and project management, to ensure the successful completion of projects while maintaining cost efficiency.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cost Estimation**:Develop detailed cost estimates for wastewater treatment projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, equipment, subcontractors, and overhead costs.
Analyze project specifications, engineering drawings, and technical requirements to accurately assess project scope and determine cost drivers.

**Tender Preparation**:Prepare comprehensive and competitive bid proposals for wastewater treatment projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
Collaborate with technical experts to incorporate accurate engineering solutions and technological advancements into bid proposals.

**Market Research**:Stay informed about current market trends, pricing of materials, labor rates, and equipment costs related to wastewater treatment projects.
Conduct competitive analysis to identify potential subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors for cost-effective project execution.

**Risk Assessment**:Identify potential project risks and uncertainties that could impact cost estimates and project budgets.
Develop strategies to mitigate risks and provide recommendations for contingencies in cost planning.

**Collaboration**:Work closely with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather essential project information, technical insights, and procurement strategies.
Coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure accurate project cost estimations and timely bid submissions.

**Documentation**:Maintain organized records of cost estimates, bid proposals, and project budgets.
Ensure compliance with company procedures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements in all documentation.

**Continuous Improvement**:Participate in post-project analysis to assess the accuracy of cost estimates and identify areas for improvement.
Learn from past projects to refine future cost estimation methodologies and enhance overall accuracy.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in cost estimation and tendering for wastewater treatment projects.
- In-depth knowledge of wastewater treatment technologies, processes, and equipment.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex technical information and convert it into accurate cost estimates.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and clients.
