Job Title: Child Psychologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Child Psychologist to join our team of mental health professionals. As a Child Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in providing therapeutic support and psychological interventions for children and adolescents facing emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in promoting the well-being and mental health of young individuals, helping them to navigate through various life difficulties and achieve their full potential.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate children's emotional, behavioral, and cognitive development.
2. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment results and ongoing evaluation of the child's progress.
3. Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, family therapy, and other age-appropriate modalities.
4. Collaborate with parents, guardians, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive environment for the child's development and growth.
5. Offer counseling and support to parents and caregivers to help them understand and address their child's emotional and behavioral challenges.
6. Conduct group therapy sessions for children to enhance their social and emotional skills and provide a safe space for sharing experiences.
7. Monitor and document treatment progress, maintain detailed case notes, and prepare reports for stakeholders.
8. Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and advancements in child psychology and implement best practices in treatment strategies.
9. Participate in regular supervision and team meetings to discuss cases, share insights, and collaborate on treatment approaches.
10. Ensure compliance with ethical and legal guidelines while maintaining confidentiality and respecting the rights of the child and family.
**Requirements**:
1. Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or Counseling Psychology with a focus on child and adolescent psychology.
2. Valid state license to practice as a psychologist or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice.
3. Proven experience in conducting psychological assessments and providing therapeutic interventions to children and adolescents.
4. Knowledge of various therapeutic modalities and evidence-based practices for treating children's mental health issues.
5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
6. Empathy, patience, and a genuine interest in understanding and supporting children's emotional well-being.
7. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment and contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
8. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and case management.
9. Commitment to continuous professional development and keeping up-to-date with the latest research in child psychology.
10. Previous experience working in educational settings or with diverse populations is a plus.
**Salary**: ₹5,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
Supplemental pay types:
- Yearly bonus
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Kozhikode, Kerala: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (preferred)
