Tool Room Head [ KRA ]
The Tooling Head plays a pivotal role in the manufacturing sector, particularly within the Manufacturing industry.
The Tooling head is responsible for coordinating and directing the activities of the tool room personnel, managing inventory, and implementing systems that increase productivity and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a detailed inventory of tools and equipment, and ensure their proper storage and maintenance.
- Supervise tool room staff, including scheduling, training, and managing performance.
- Work closely with production departments to understand their tool requirements and ensure timely availability.
- Implement and monitor systems for tracking tool usage and maintenance schedules to reduce downtime.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols for the handling and storage of tools.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for the procurement of new tools or the repair of existing ones.
- Assist in budget preparation for the tool room operations and monitor expenditures.
- Conduct regular audits of tools and equipment to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Resolve any issues related to tool performance or employee conflicts within the tool room.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in tool room technologies and management practices.
- Prepare reports summarizing tool room activities, challenges, and resource needs.
- Collaborate with other department heads to streamline operations and support the overall production workflow.
- An associate’s degree in tool and die technology, mechanical engineering, or a related field. A bachelor’s degree is often preferred.
- Significant experience in tool room operations or a similar role, typically requiring at least 3-5 years of supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of computer-aided design (CAD) software and other related technologies used in tool manufacturing and maintenance.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
