As a Credit Risk Associate, you help the firm manage the risk in a responsible way by anticipating new and emerging risks and using your expert judgement to solve real-world challenges that impact our company, customers, and communities. You will be conducting credit analysis of Corporate clients including portfolio management in the Middle Markets team in Commercial Banking division. Work timings: Starts at 1 p.m. IST to provide overlap with US team members
**Job responsibilities**
- Manage own client portfolio - independently prepare credit analysis on assigned clients - covering macro-overview, industry/sector, business, financials, projections modelling and recommend changes to credit ratings and amendments to facilities. Actively work on portfolio management activities such as annual reviews, periodic financial performance diligence, etc.
- Assist in negotiating of the credit terms along with senior underwriters and take lead in finalizing documentation (credit agreements and amendments)
- Support due diligence on capital market transactions for clients
- Work closely with Senior Underwriters/Approvers in North America on new to bank client activities such as evaluating prospects, onboarding new clients and new facilities.
- Build strong relationships and maintain open communication with colleagues from various Lines of Business including Underwriters, Bankers, Middle Office, etc.
- Develop strong working knowledge and track clients/sectors related to diversified industries on an on-going basis
- Ensure governance, reporting and data quality requirements are met and maintained for client and client families

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**
- Post graduate degree
- 3-5 years of experience in credit risk analysis
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills; ability to effectively present analysis and build positive relationships with global stakeholders
- In depth understanding of financial statements, including ratio analysis, cash flow analysis and accounting standards
- Aptitude to learn and develop knowledge on credit analysis techniques, sectors and global economies
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
