Teach For India has two incubation programs for educational entrepreneurs - InnovatED and TFIx
- to support entrepreneurs working in education with children from underserved communities and strengthen their innovations. **InnovatED **is Teach For India's initiative to support its Alumni in their early stages as education entrepreneurs. They help entrepreneurs who want to take their innovations from the project or prototype stage to sustainable organizations. **TFIx**,** **on the other hand, works with Education Entrepreneurs nationwide and goes beyond urban geographies to support entrepreneurs in rural, tribal, and conflict-ridden geographies. TFIx specializes in supporting them in adopting a teaching Fellowship model in their work.

We are looking for an exceptional storyteller and communication strategist to take the reins of the major social media platforms of InnovatED & TFIx. The 2 incubation programs are a part of the Movement Building Cluster (MB) at Teach For India. MB Cluster comprises the following teams - Firki - Teach For India Online, Kids Education Revolution, TFI Alumni Impact Team (InnovatED), Government Relations Team, and TFIx. With the MB Cluster's aim to build a movement of 2 million people who advocate and act collectively for educational equity in the next 10 years, this role will see you advocate for stakeholder voice and leadership, essential pillars of a reimagined India.

As the Communications Associate, you will assist the Manager in creating and implementing the Marketing strategy. You will play a critical role in TFIx's and InnovatED's brand-building efforts, thereby impacting the overall visibility of our work, our Entrepreneurs' work, and our collective impact in a big way. You will also support the gathering and disseminating impactful stories to important stakeholders: our Teach For India community of Staff, Fellows, Alumni, the Entrepreneur Community and Donors.

You will be working with education entrepreneurs across the country, executing social media campaigns to recruit potential entrepreneurs for TFIx and InnovatED, executing shoots to cover the work of our alumni entrepreneurs, and identifying and partnering with various organizations and stakeholders within the education and incubation space.

This role will require you to travel to these entrepreneurs’ sites and some other team gatherings like Learning Circles/Boot Camps, Site visits, Step-backs, etc. You will be exposed to the work of external organizations since you will be working in partnership with each other.

In summary, the idea is to build the brand for the two Education Incubators that Teach For India runs.

**Responsibilities**:
**As an Associate, Communications [TFIx and Innovated]**

**Strengthen Digital Communications**:

- Working with the Teach For India Communications team to create campaigns, branding ideas, collaterals, etc., for TFIx and innovatED. This would also include managing the online presence on Instagram, Facebook, and Linked In, releasing ads targeted towards recruitment, and creating newsletters/mailers for our community and partner organizations
- Capturing Entrepreneur impact stories during the incubation year through pictures, videos, and other creative ways
- Coordinate with external vendors to capture and document Alumni Entrepreneur’s impact stories on Entrepreneur’s site for video documentaries
- Visiting TFIx Entrepreneur sites to understand their model in detail, capture their growth as well as develop relationships with their staff
- Identifying avenues where TFIx’s and InnovatED’s presence can be created and presented on behalf of TFIx and InnovatED in relevant spaces

**Plan and deliver high-quality events coverage**:

- Execute effective social media campaigns for TFIx and InnovatED events
- Support respective POCs with coverage of selected events

**Work closely with the Manager and Director in these areas**:

- Deliver insightful reporting to the Leadership Team
- Support Teach For India's PR efforts by amplifying the media mentions through social media
- Support Entrepreneur teams in identifying powerful stories that would resonate with media

**Partnerships**:

- Identifying new potential partners for media coverage
- Maintaining and deepening relations with existing partners

**As an Associate at Teach For India**
- Contributing to **the cluster goals and priorities** beyond individual goals and priorities.
- Serving as an **ambassador of the Teach For India brand** and an advocate for our work and for educational equity in our country through both internal and external communication after committing time in our classrooms to understand our work more deeply.
- Supporting key organizational areas such as **Recruitment, Selection, Fundraising, Volunteering, Movement Building.**
