Silambam Instructor

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Instruction and Training**:

- Teach Silambam techniques, including footwork, weapon handling, defensive and offensive moves, and traditional forms.
- Conduct classes for various age groups and skill levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners.
- Demonstrate proper execution of techniques and correct students’ form and posture.
- **Curriculum Development**:

- Develop structured training programs tailored to students' needs and progression.
- Incorporate fitness, flexibility, and strength-building exercises into the curriculum.
- Include lessons on the history, culture, and philosophy of Silambam.
- **Safety and Discipline**:

- Ensure safety protocols are followed during practice to prevent injuries.
- Instill discipline, focus, and respect as core values of martial arts training.
- **Event Participation and Organization**:

- Train students for performances, competitions, and demonstrations.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and cultural exchange programs related to Silambam.
- **Student Evaluation**:

- Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback and guidance.
- Conduct exams or tests to certify skill levels.
- **Promotion of Silambam**:

- Promote awareness and appreciation of Silambam as a traditional art form through community engagement and events.
- Use modern platforms such as social media to attract and retain students.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 1 per week
