Job Duties
- Assist in the design, drawing and trouble shooting of new and existing trailer configurations
- Work hands on in the R&D shop to ensure the best possible outcomes
- Interact with production personnel, dealers and vendors on drawing and design related issues
- Work within a team of R&D staff to assist in the implementation of duties
- Generate spreadsheets and documents as needed for R&D documentation
- Notify the R&D Manager of all unusual occurrences encountered during the performance of assigned duties

**Requirements**:

- Mechanical Engineering Technologist (equivalent work experience may be considered)
- Must be proficient in 3-D software (CREO would be a definite asset) and familiar with AutoCAD
- Experience creating designs for the automotive or trailer industry an asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Ability to perform daily design functions and to multi-task
- Must be mechanically inclined and possess trouble-shooting skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Work Conditions
- Manual dexterity required
- Interacts with employees and management
- Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules.
- Overtime may be required.
- Must be able to multi task and work on several projects at once, or switch projects at a moment’s notice
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet very tight deadlines

Regular hours are 6:00 am to 4:00 pm Monday to Thursday and 6:00 am to 12 noon on Friday

Must own reliable transportation and hold a valid driver’s license

The starting wage for this position is dependent on experience and training. Upon successful completion of a 6
dental, life insurance, Group RRSP and safety boot/clothing allowance.
