We have worked with over 20,000 students in India in the last 7 years and are looking to expand on the transformative change catalysed to empower more young people across cities.

The program’s success hinges on young people passionate about other young people, thinking and executing ground-level initiatives that have a measurable impact on youth employability issues. The role calls for an organized and empathetic approach to working in this dynamic ecosystem. The individual must demonstrate commitment and zeal to scale the impact of this intervention. **The job will involve**:

- Understanding students’ career needs through interactions
- Finding opportunities that match those needs on online and offline platforms and through personal networks
- Connecting with corporate recruiters, who recruit fresh graduates, in Finance and
- Technology domain.. Managing Relationships with new and existing corporate partners.
- Collating data for interviews and selections and updating relevant dashboards
- Provide post - placement support & counselling to students w.r.t. joining and retention, if needed

**Details**:
Jr Placement Officer in the Career Linkage Team will work with corporates on one side and with students on the other. They will work within the challenging market ecosystem of Fintech domain and BFSI sector organizations in Bengaluru, to understand job market requirements and how the skills of the students can be matched with demand to maximize confirmed offers (key success metric).

The role of the Jr Placement Officer will involve reaching out to disadvantaged students who are being trained, or have been trained, by TNSIF. They will provide pre-placement support, by creating awareness and relevant information about the market conditions and the updated pipeline of recruiter pipeline. Both generic awareness, and role and organization specific information would be expected to be shared with students by the person in this role.

On the corporate side, the Jr Placement Officer will be accountable for building and managing relationships with potential recruiters and managing their expectations. They have to liaise with corporations to understand their hiring requirements and ensuring that they provide placement opportunities for our trained students. To connect these potential recruiters with our trained students, the Jr Placement Officer will organize career events and fests online, at the program’s partner colleges and at other locations - as relevant. All logístical and other arrangements will need to be made for the same. It is the ownership of the career linkage team to ensure that a minimum of 70% of all trained students are placed through career fests, individual drives and self-placements.

In addition, the Jr Placement Officer have to provide post-placement support to the students and collect data for program joining and retention rates. Students will need to be motivated on a continuing basis to ensure job retention.

The Jr Placement Officer should be willing to innovate and improvise on the program to build a truly exciting youth employability program. It is the goal of the Specialist to drive a positive behavior change towards Finance and technology sector employment and ensure all participants embark on their first job. The role calls for highly motivated professionals, looking to make real impact with the youth they work with.

**Preferred Skills & Experience**
- 2-5 years of work experience for the role in placing students in Fintech/BFSI (programming, coding, testing, software development, maintenance, product support, IT support, and similar) roles in the finance and technology sector, or in similar roles in allied sectors
- Demonstrated excellence in college, internships and extra-curricular work
- Top tier graduate and/or postgraduate degree (preferred)
- Ability to work in a diverse team and under pressure
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Experience in relationship management with recruiters with be a definite plus

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹750,000.00 per year
