At Satopradhan, we're looking for an **Organic Farmer, **who will be responsible for growing and cultivating crops using organic farming methods that avoid synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, and chemicals. We require a person who focuses on sustainable farming practices, soil health, and biodiversity while aiming to produce high-quality, chemical-free products for consumption.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Soil Management**:

- Use crop rotation, cover cropping, and composting to maintain healthy soil and prevent soil erosion.

**Crop Production**:

- Plan, plant, grow, and harvest crops using organic methods.
- Ensure proper irrigation, pest control, and disease management while adhering to organic farming standards.
- Select and grow a variety of crops suitable for the local climate and soil conditions, including vegetables, fruits, grains, and herbs.

**Pest, Weed Management & sustainability**:

- Use natural methods to control pests and weeds, such as introducing beneficial insects, using organic pesticides, or physical barriers like row covers.
- Implement integrated pest management (IPM) strategies to minimize crop damage.
- Promote environmental sustainability by conserving water, reducing waste, and protecting local ecosystems.

**Record Keeping**:

- Keep accurate records of all farming activities, including planting dates, crop yields, pest treatments, and harvest details.
- Develop and manage the farm's budget, track expenses, and optimize production efficiency to ensure the farm's profitability.

**Farm Maintenance and Equipment**:

- Operate and maintain farm equipments.
- Maintain and repair infrastructure such as irrigation systems, fencing, and farm building.

**Team Management**:

- Ability to work with farm workers, and collectively works with the team to ensure better productivity.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Graduted in B.Sc. Agriculture, M.Sc. Agriculture, Horticulture, Crop management.
- Previous experience in farming, particularly organic farming, is preferred
- Must have a strong understanding of organic farming principles and sustainable agriculture.
- Must have an ability to work long hours in physically demanding conditions.
- Ability to address issues related to crop diseases, pests, and weather-related challenges without relying on synthetic chemicals.

**Location**: Vill. Khankot, Amritsar, Punjab.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹17,000.00 per month
