Demonstrable experience of delivering Database operation projects, with specific knowledge of service transition and supportability of solution in a Production environment of Oracle DB.
- Understanding of Operational Acceptance, Disaster Recovery, and High Availability (HA) in a Production environment.
- Understanding of Change Management, Incident Management and Release and Configuration management process.
- Ensures availability, security, and integrity of assigned databases.
- Resolves database performance, capacity, replication, and other distributed data issues.
- Install, patch, and maintain all Oracle software. Installs and configures database management software (DBMS) including RAC and Data Guard and applicable service packs and/or patches.
- Develops and implements database maintenance plans, including performing integrity checks, updating statistics and monitoring security and hardware resource utilization.
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle RAC
- Must have extensive hands-on experience on various RMAN Backup and Recovery Scenarios.
- Expert in provisioning and decommission of database including Instance/RAC/ASM/grid control/data guard
- Problem solving and Decision Making - Resolve unusual or highly complex problems.
- Good documentation experience
