Project Coordinator

SUMMARY
The project coordinator assists in managing projects from initiation through completion. This role involves coordinating tasks, resources, and information, ensuring that project deadlines are met and adhering to the approved budgets. The project coordinator will work closely with the project managers and other team members to achieve project objectives and ensure efficient workflow.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in the development of detailed project plans.
- Schedule meetings and coordinate project timelines.
- Monitor project schedules and timelines, updating necessary documentation.
- Coordinate resources and materials required for project execution.
- Manage logístical aspects of project activities.
- Ensure that all project team members have the tools and support needed to perform their tasks efficiently
- Serve as a liaison between project teams, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
- Prepare and distribute project-related communications and updates.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.
- Assist in budget preparation and monitor expenses.
- Track project costs in relation to the budgeted amounts.
- Prepare financial statements and cost reports for project managers.
- Ensure projects comply with legal and organizational standards.
- Monitor compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Coordinate quality controls to ensure deliverables meet pre-defined standards
- Identify potential project risks and communicate these to the project manager.
- Assist in developing strategies to mitigate risk
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in project coordination or management.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
- 3 Years of Experience in the IT industry related projects
