Introduction

As an IBM Application Architect, you directly help clients transform their business and solve complex problems. You will define the scope and vision for projects that deliver customized solutions using your knowledge of IBM platforms. You are a technical leader, serving as a liaison among business partners, technical resources, and project stakeholders.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities include:

- Define overall operating technology architecture
- Create standards for networking and protocols
- Set common naming and tagging convention for global deployments
- Ensure data is suitable to meet GRE use cases
- Maintain awareness of new OT products
- Integrate WIoT platform and other applicable IBM strategic services to create business value
- Create framework for evaluating new products and technology
- Develop standard system programs, graphics and configuration that ensure security, expedite delivery and reduce cost of deployments
- Lead pilot projects that advance our technology strategy
- Work with suppliers/contractors to ensure systems are properly secured and maintained
- Expand value based use cases for GRE technology
- Participate in business case development for deployments
- Define requirements for OT data, reporting, alarming and historical storage for global data set
- Collaborate with CIO, Security, and other business units to leverage data from AV devices, network, security systems, etc.
- Serve as Agile Product Owner for CIO infrastructure team who supports Real Estate technology deployments
- Integrate machine learning and artificial intelligence into technology deployments
- Evaluate build vs buy opportunities with IBM product team
- Streamline technology solutions to create efficient compliant deployments
- Develop and present educational material to ensure global alignment with the technology strategy

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

**Required Skills**:

- Building Management System design (Schneider, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Tridium)
- Programmable Logic Control design
- Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system design
- Microsoft server and workstation operating system experience
- Power Monitoring System design
- Internet of Things device, platform, protocol and network knowledge
- Cyber security principles and practices
- Ethernet networking principles
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A growth mindset

Required Education and Experience
- 5-7 years in OT system architectural development or related experience required
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
