**About the Organizations**

**1. Salaam Baalak Trust**

Salaam Baalak Trust is an Indian non-profit and non-governmental organization which provides support for street and working children in the Delhi-NCR. It was established in 1988 with the proceeds from the film Salaam Bombay Directed by Mira Nair, which was about the lives and vulnerabilities of street children.

**Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR)**

Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR) is a statutory body of Government of NCT of Delhi created by Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CPCR) Act, 2005 of the Parliament to monitor the implementation of the rights, and welfare policies related to the children.

**About the Role: Outreach Worker**

1 To identify and directly engage with children in around the Raghubir Nagar area.

2 To provide responsive and effective support those children who are currently living on the streets to enter into safe space.

3 Act as individual ‘Keyworker’ to a group of identified children, taking lead responsibility (and acting as lead contact with other services) for the co
- ordination and delivery of their support.

4 Ensure compliance with appropriate Lincolnshire Safeguarding Policies and Procedures.

**Abilities**:
1. Experience of dealing with and supporting vulnerable children

2. Advise, guide, and persuade others

3. Effective problem solver

4. Ability to work on own initiative, assess priorities and meet deadlines.

5. Calm even under pressure and in demanding situations.

6. Understanding, caring and helpful nature

7. High level of commitment and enthusiasm and desire for job satisfaction

**Experience**: Minimum one year outreach experience in organization

**Education : Minimum BSW or MSW**
