Import Export Documentation Executive

Job Overview:
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Import and Export Documentation**:
- Prepare and process import and export documentation in compliance with international trade regulations.
- Ensure proper documentation for customs clearance, including Bills of Lading, Airway Bills, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Origin.
- Maintain and update records for all import-export transactions to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
2. **Customs House Agent (CHA) Responsibilities**:
- Coordinate with Customs Authorities and CHA to ensure smooth customs clearance for both imports and exports.
- Prepare and submit customs declarations, including necessary documentation for duty calculations and exemptions.
- Ensure compliance with all Customs requirements, including proper classification, valuation, and country of origin declarations.
- Handle customs audits and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during customs clearance.
3. **RODTEP Compliance**:
- Ensure that all exports eligible for RODTEP benefits are properly documented, registered, and reported to relevant authorities.
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure that export records are maintained in accordance with RODTEP guidelines and deadlines.
4. **DGFT (Directorate General of Foreign Trade) Compliance**:
- Ensure compliance with the Foreign Trade Policy and DGFT regulations for both import and export activities.
- Handle export licensing, including advance licenses, EPCG (Export Promotion Capital Goods) schemes, and other DGFT-related approvals.
- Liaise with the DGFT for any licensing issues, and maintain accurate records for all export/import permits.
5. **Tariff Classification and Duty Management**:
- Advise on appropriate tariff classifications and ensure accurate duty calculations based on customs rules and regulations.
6. **Liaison with Shipping and Freight Forwarders**:
- Coordinate with shipping lines, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers to ensure timely dispatch and receipt of goods.
- Ensure that shipping documentation complies with international standards and shipping line requirements.
- Track shipment status and resolve any delays or documentation issues promptly.
7. **Audit and Compliance**:
- Assist in internal and external audits related to import-export activities.
- Monitor changes in international trade regulations and ensure that business practices align with evolving customs, tax, and trade compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for compliance audits and reporting.
8. **Communication and Reporting**:
- Communicate with internal departments (e.g., finance, production, and sales teams) to ensure smooth documentation and processing.
- Prepare and submit reports to management on import-export performance, compliance status, and any areas of concern.
### Required Skills and Qualifications:
- **Educational Qualification**: Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
- **Experience**: 3-5 years of experience in import-export documentation, with specific knowledge of CHA, RODTEP, and DGFT processes.
- **Certifications**: Certification in Foreign Trade, Customs House Agent License (CHA), or similar certification will be an advantage.
- **Technical Skills**:
- Strong understanding of import-export documentation requirements, including customs declarations, freight forwarding, and duty regulations.
- Experience with RODTEP schemes and DGFT processes, including IEC registration, licensing, and compliance.
- Familiarity with tariff codes, duty structures, and tax remission schemes.
- Proficiency in documentation software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
