**Position: Tax Preparer (Enrolled Agent) for Growing U.S. Tax Practice**

**Role Overview**:
As a Tax Preparer (Enrolled Agent), you'll play a pivotal role in our client-focused tax practice. You'll utilize your expertise to meticulously prepare U.S. individual and business tax returns. With a dynamic team committed to excellence, you'll have the opportunity to work remotely from the comfort of your own home.

**Responsibilities**:

- Utilize your in-depth understanding of tax forms and their implications to accurately prepare and review client tax returns.
- Manage the entire tax preparation process, from document collection to client signatures, ensuring a seamless experience for our clients.
- Analyze year-over-year data to identify missing information or documents, ensuring comprehensive and accurate returns.
- Collaborate closely with owners, who engage directly with clients, to ensure timely and precise completion of returns.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
- IRS Enrolled Agent status.
- A minimum of 2 years' experience preparing U.S. individual tax returns.
- Proficiency in navigating tax software and confidently handling tax-related documents.
- Impeccable attention to detail, combined with strong analytical skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Reliable and high-speed internet connection.

**Requirements**:

- Proficient in individual and business tax return preparation.
- Familiarity with W2s, 1098s, 1099s, K-1s, and schedules such as E and C.
- Familiarity with FBAR/FATCA Filings
- Familiarity with Foreign Tax Credit and it’s tax implications in the US and abroad for our foreign clients
- Familiarity with depreciation and amortization, ability to correctly categorize depreciable assets and well as knowledge of when and how to capitalize expenses.
- Familiarity with LLC, S-corp, and C-corp returns with companies that are either foreign entities or have foreign entity partners. K-1s should be accurate with all correct deductions, credits and worksheets attached for business clients.
- Ability to perform in depth tax research using IRS publications and rev procs.
- Skilled in completing accurate extensions with balance due payments.
- Capable of working 8-12 hour days during peak tax seasons (Jan-May, Sept-Oct) and 8-hour days during off-season.
- A reliable backup internet connection.
- Capable computer setup for efficient remote work.

**Location**:
Remote (Work From Home)

**Salary**: ₹1,000,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
