**Department: Facilities Management**

As the Hospital Maintenance Incharge at Ovum Hospital, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our facility. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the maintenance and repair of the hospital's infrastructure, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-functioning environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will collaborate with various departments to address maintenance needs promptly and to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

**Responsibilities**:
Maintenance Oversight: Supervise and lead a team of maintenance staff in performing routine and preventive maintenance tasks, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, medical equipment, and other infrastructure components.

Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose maintenance issues, providing timely solutions to minimize disruptions and ensure continuous operation of essential services.

Equipment Management: Manage the maintenance, calibration, and repair of medical equipment, coordinating with clinical departments to ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance.

Budget Management: Monitor and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources while maintaining high-quality standards.

Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers to schedule repairs, renovations, and equipment installations, while adhering to hospital policies and procedures.

Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with local and national regulations related to hospital facilities and maintenance, ensuring the hospital remains in compliance at all times.

Emergency Response: Develop and implement emergency response plans related to maintenance issues, such as power outages, water leaks, and other facility-related emergencies.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections, and generate reports as required by hospital administration.

Team Development: Provide training and guidance to maintenance staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

**Qualifications**:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) preferred. Relevant certifications in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field are a plus.

Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital facilities management, maintenance, or a closely related field. Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role is preferred.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Familiarity with medical equipment maintenance is highly desirable.

Leadership: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage a team and collaborate with various departments.

Problem-Solving: Proven ability to troubleshoot and solve complex maintenance issues efficiently, with a focus on minimizing downtime.

Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards related to facility maintenance and patient safety.

Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and meet deadlines.

Emergency Response: Experience in developing and executing emergency response plans for facility-related incidents.
