Description

The OT Incharge is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Operating Theatre (OT) department. This role includes managing staff, ensuring adherence to safety and regulatory standards, coordinating surgical schedules, and maintaining equipment and inventory. The OT Incharge plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient, effective, and safe delivery of surgical services.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the OT department.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the smooth operation of the OT.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and infection control standards.
- Monitor the maintenance of OT equipment and facilities, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
- Manage a team of surgical nurses, technicians, and support staff.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and facilitate professional development.
- Create and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage for all shifts.
- Address and resolve any staff conflicts or issues that arise.
- Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other medical staff to ensure the timely and efficient scheduling of surgeries.
- Oversee patient preparation and post-operative care within the OT.
- Ensure accurate documentation and patient records are maintained.
- Implement and monitor quality control measures to ensure high standards of patient care.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of the OT to identify areas for improvement.
- Address and resolve any issues related to patient safety or care quality promptly.
- Manage the inventory of surgical instruments, supplies, and medications.
- Ensure the timely procurement of necessary supplies and manage stock levels to avoid shortages.
- Maintain records of equipment maintenance and ensure regular servicing and calibration.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the OT department.
- Facilitate effective communication between surgical teams, nursing staff, and administrative personnel.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making processes.

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or a related field; a Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field is preferred.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
