**Role Responsibilities**

**Job Summary**

This role will be an integral part of API Banking team. As a product owner you are responsible to deliver the most innovative ideas on the Trade and Cash space that shapes up the future of API Economy. You will play a key role in ideating and creating new features that uniquely meet the needs of the customers. You are responsible for building product strategy and expansion into multiple regions/countries.

**Responsibilities**

**Strategy**
- Shape and influence the development of Trade and Cash APIs strategy, product features and use cases
- Deep understanding of banking products, payment gateway and the entire banking platform and its functionality
- Collaborate with Fintech Partners/ Clients/ Third Party Players, regulators, and industry bodies for bringing new capabilities under the umbrella of Open Banking implementation
- Deep understanding of our client’s business requests and gather insights to drive product strategy and solution
- Clearly understand and articulate the requirements that supports the development of products, features and functionality.
- Identify commercial opportunities utilizing Trade and Cash APIs that solve specific pain points for our clients
- Collaborate with the cross functional teams within the Bank (Channels, FM/SS products, Country teams)
- Provide suggestions for functional improvements time to time
- Lead market research /customer testing for new concepts and translate these insights into product roadmap
- Has a strong understanding of product financials and ensure that product delivers expected revenue targets
- Setting goals to development team and managing the execution and deliverables from the Squad
- Assist Development /testing team/ Business Analyst for any functional queries

**Business**
- Provide leadership in the utilization efforts of APIs
- Drive and manage API Solutions performance by tracking utilisation and cross sell
- Fully complied with regulatory guidelines and regular self-assessment in electronic banking

**Governance**
- Ensure Country compliance on Group standard for Audit, Control and financial reporting
- Maintain the product programmes and PPG/ CA database as per product governance guideline
- Act as a liaison with the local risk committees

**Regulatory & Business Conduct**
- Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct.
- Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. - Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

- Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values in XXXX [country / business unit / team]; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats);
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience with a proven track record of success in the product management, product development or project management.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
- Training / working knowledge in digital / fintech product development and lifecycle
- Post-secondary technical or business degree / MBA is a strong asset.

- Skills Proven track record in leading and implementing digitalization and/or transformation initiatives in corporate and institutional banking, including driving client adoption of digital channels and increasing share of revenue via electronic channels.
- An experienced people leader with an ability to build a strong team, encouraging team members to drive personal career development, including strengthening skills through relevant training, learning and development activities.
