Job Description:
Monitor, triage, resolve Alerts and incidents from various systems including UPS systems, Network switches etc. Ability to correlate and respond appropriately
Expertise in monitoring tools such as SCOM and/or AppInsights
Ability to write PowerShell scripts to automate repetitive tasks
Incident response, performing root cause analysis and drive corrective steps
Documenting and sharing operating processes and procedures
Identifying attributes for various devices/UPS etc and updating config database/CMDB
What would your day look like?
Identify critical impacting issues, Open bridge, pull SMEs and drive end to end incident, document steps for troubleshooting
Monitor the health of infrastructure systems of the organization to minimize the critical impact
Manage day-to-day health and performance of on-prem infrastructure including UPS and Network switches etc
Write scripts for automation (PowerShell, VB, Batch)
Monitor, report out to management various support related KPI’s and prepare and execute corrective action plans to meet KPI’s
Trend analysis for repetitive UPS Alarms, Alerts, Tickets etc and automate to reduce the manual efforts
Who we are looking for?
Minimum 4-7 years of experience in Incident support, problem mgmt.
Datacenter Devices/ Equipment’s / UPS knowledge is mandatory
Expertise in ITIL (incident and event management), Agile and Devops process
Expertise in monitoring tools such as SCOM and/or other monitoring tools
Provide KPI/Metric information and standardized reporting on a regular basis in line with business requirements
Implement IT asset life cycle strategy, work with IT teams/SMEs to validate and manage asset data in CMDB.
Ensure integrity of the configuration management system, including the CI data model and relationships.
Familiarity with Power BI dashboards and reports
Knowledge of Agile methodology and Scrum
Basic Systems administration and troubleshooting skills.
CMDB Analysis & Cleanup:
Analyze the data present in the existing database and its source
Work on reconciliation and identification rules to avoid CMDB issues
Create an action plan to identify the data to be cleaned up and replaced
Execute server scream-tests, complete server/DB retirements and work on additional server discovery.
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems, demonstrate problem solving
Strong communication skills with excellent interpersonal skills both in written and verbal correspondence
Flexibility to work in 16/7 shifts (no night shifts) and on holidays and weekends
Ability to work in ambiguous work environment with global team setup
Experience working in feature crew model, knowledge of Agile framework
Ability to learn and adapt to changing landscape and acquire new skills with technology advancement
A bachelor's degree in computer science or information science or related field
