Introduction:

- Researching and developing risk portfolio level acquisition data decisioning processes for SME and for other portfolios under our remit as required
- Providing thought leadership and change imperative for the strategic future state direction and initiatives regarding client acquisition and credit quality management across all of SME
- Driving future automation opportunities within a controlled framework

What will you be doing?
- Structuring and executing research and analysis into performance of existing strategies whilst ensuring that strategy aligns with Risk Appetite and keeping stakeholders across all disciplines and functions appropriately informed and updated.
- Proactively identify opportunities to revise our policies to enhance strategy and maximise value. Provide a role model for the standard of analysis. Work with other team members to drive business action based on your results.
- Take on a segment specialism e.g. decision engine/batch process and for that segment take responsibility for monitoring performance and driving change. Act as an expert within the Credit Risk Portfolio Management team for that segment.
- Communicate analytic results to both technical and non-technical audiences; Presentation of analysis and results to senior management and stakeholder and where necessary deputise for Senior Credit Risk Managers in their absence at key committee
- Own IFRS9 based risk inputs to pricing model
- Work with internal model validation teams (IVU and BIA) to manage remediation of findings and observations on IFRS9 risk models
- Review model monitoring reports to assess drivers for model underperformance and design and implement tactical and strategic remediation
- Develop Post Model Adjustments (PMA)to address model inaccuracy and underperformance

What we’re looking for:

- Comprehensive knowledge and effective use of analytical tools including SQL and SAS. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Good analytical skills and critical thinking to digest and interpret complex concepts underpinning portfolio modelling and analytics
- Practical experience of using analytics to solve complex business problems
- Understanding of IFRS9 principles
- MBA, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics Background with work experience in an analytical role in financial services.

Skills that will help you in the role:

- Ability to research and synthesise findings to develop future strategic capability and position papers.
- Data extraction and manipulation skills and understanding of data issues to prepare and validate analysis
- High-level communication and persuasion skills with the ability to think quickly and package ideas and results in a logical, understandable and compelling way to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- A range of interpersonal skills including innovation, determination and teamwork
