**Responsibilities**:

Responsible for checking the technical requirements with the specifications offered by vendor, doing 1st round of negotiation with the vendor for a particular category of item

Job AccountabilitiesFloating enquiry for the assigned items (depending on the user requirement)
-Matching the correctness of the technical requirements given by User and the technical specifications given by vendor and raise any shortcomings to Sr. Buyer/Buying Manager
- Doing the first round of negotiation with vendors and giving the details to buying manager

for finalizing the deal with the vendorOrdering of the finalized items and making the appropriate entries in SAP system
- Timely response and resolution of Internal and External audit issues related to procurement and in some cases escalating it to Sr. Buyer/Buying Manager

Job Responsibilities:

- Develop network in road transport market
- Get connected with prospective road transport service provider
- Evaluate, verify prospective vendor credentials
- Coordinate for vendor onboarding
- Tracking road transport freight behaviour in the market
- Assist Sr. Buyer to identify lane / volume / suitable vendors for contracting process, based on Business requirement
- Floating enquiry as per business requirement
- Preparing monthly freight file - LTC / STC / Other Contracts / Special Contracts
- Preparing AOP Budget File & calculating monthly quarterly AOP numbers
- Impact Analysis when RFQ is completed for LTC / STC contracts
- Consolidation & Analysis of Site / Market rates & RIL freight rates
- Ranking File creation
- Diesel Price analysis & calculation
- Rate & Allocation maintenance in SAP
- Maintain volume allocation for finalized transport vendors
- Contract preparation & renewals
- Communication with Operation team - HO & Site
- Communication with Business
- To carry put initial rounds of negotiation with vendors and assisting Lead manager for finalizing the deal
- Monitoring various P&C related dashboards ; analyzing & identifying flaws and highlighting the same to get it resolve
- Timely response and resolution of audit issues related to procurement
- Identifying system bugs & enhancements
- Conducting UAT for various IT developments
- Vendor Billing related issues

**Education Requirement**:
B. Tech / B E

**Experience Requirement**:
2-6 years of experience with exposure to respective category sourcing and manufacturing

Desirable

Experience in category-based purchasing

Experience of supply management in similar plant operations environment

**Skills & Competencies**:
Skills Required (Knowledge & Skills)Analytical bend of mind

-Knowledge of equipment and process/maintenance activities
