**Job Summary**:
The Inward Operator is responsible for managing the receipt and processing of incoming goods and materials. This role involves verifying the accuracy of shipments, recording data, and ensuring that materials are stored properly to maintain inventory integrity.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Receipt of Goods**:

- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
- Verify the quantity and condition of goods against delivery documents.
- Record discrepancies and report them to the Warehouse Manager.

2. **Documentation**:

- Accurately record and update data related to received goods in the inventory management system.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation, such as delivery notes and invoices, are properly filed and maintained.
- Prepare reports on received shipments and inventory levels.

3. **Inventory Management**:

- Ensure proper labeling and storage of received goods in designated areas.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory and update the system as goods are received.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in inventory audits.

4. **Coordination**:

- Coordinate with procurement and quality control departments to resolve any issues related to incoming goods.
- Communicate with suppliers and logistics providers regarding delivery schedules and discrepancies.
- Assist in organizing and maintaining the warehouse in a clean and orderly manner.

5. **Safety and Compliance**:

- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to the receipt and storage of goods.
- Report any safety hazards or incidents to the Warehouse Manager.

**Key Competencies**:

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- Strong communication skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's Degree - 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of inventory management practices.
- Forklift certification is a plus.

**Soft Skills**:

- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Team player with a collaborative approach.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks.
