Job Description:
Lead a team of passionate engineers to run enterprise scale database service encompassing both Onprem and Cloud based instances
Attract and retain Database administrators. Provide career development coaching and assess performance to build high performance team
Deploy, administer and manage Microsoft SQL servers and Oracle database servers across on prem and Microsoft Azure
Support and maintenance of the database servers including upgrades, migration, capacity planning and patch management. Develop and implement database maintenance and monitoring processes and required automations for efficiency
Prepare disaster recovery plans, measure against RTO, RPO and perform regular drills
Identify service improvements and develop and design tools that will streamline the service to improve end-user experiences and lower operating costs
Ensure production solutions are reliable, resilient, secure and effective and that implemented solutions are continuously monitored and documented
Connecting technical roadmaps to measurable outcomes through deep understanding of business and technical goals

What would your day look like?

Manage team that operate in a shift model including on-call rotations for incident response and problem analysis
Drive automations that enable installation and configuration of database servers in a physical and virtual environment
Driving error resolutions and RCA for Major Incidents, driving ticket trend analysis and

corrective actions
Closely work with team on the service improvement plans to drive automations
Partner with global engineering teams on shared goals and focus on the outcomes
Who are we looking for?

10-15+ years of experience in technical roles, Database administration, including minimum 5+ years of people management experience
Strong leadership experience in managing a team delivery, performance, mentoring & coaching
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work in ambiguous work environment with global team setup
Ability to learn and adapt to changing landscape and acquire new skills with technology advancement
Strong experience in SQL Administration, Oracle Administration, Managing Azure Infra
Strong scripting and coding skills using PowerShell, Python or C#. Proven experience in driving automation is mandatory
Experience in building resilient systems using SQL and/or Oracle, Site Reliability, CI/ CD, Backups, Monitoring and Performance
Experience working in Agile/sprints in a global team setup
Azure Certifications: AZ-900, DP-300
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering or similar field
