**Job Title: Sales Assistant**

**Job Summary**:
As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team by providing excellent customer service, managing transactions, and ensuring the smooth operation of the sales floor. Your primary responsibility will be to assist customers with inquiries, guide them through the purchasing process, and contribute to achieving sales targets. This role requires a proactive, friendly demeanor, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn about our products and services.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. **Customer Service**:

- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Assist customers with product inquiries, providing accurate information and recommendations.
- Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and promptly.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through attentive service.

2. **Sales Support**:

- Assist the sales team in achieving sales targets by actively engaging with customers and promoting products.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain knowledge of current promotions, discounts, and sales targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities.

3. **Stock Management**:

- Monitor and replenish merchandise on the sales floor to ensure adequate inventory levels.
- Assist with receiving and unpacking shipments, checking for accuracy and quality.
- Keep the sales floor organized, tidy, and visually appealing.

4. **Administrative Tasks**:

- Maintain accurate records of transactions and customer interactions.
- Assist in inventory management tasks such as stock counts and reconciliations.
- Prepare sales reports and assist with other administrative duties as required.

5. **Product Knowledge**:

- Stay informed about product features, benefits, and specifications.
- Attend training sessions and product presentations to enhance product knowledge.
- Educate customers about product features and benefits to facilitate informed purchasing decisions.

6. **Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with team members to achieve collective goals and deliver exceptional customer service.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and share insights or feedback to improve sales strategies and processes.
- Support other departments as needed, such as assisting with store events or promotions.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in sales or retail management is a plus.
- Previous experience in customer service or retail sales preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with customers.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Basic math skills and proficiency in using a POS system.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and records.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and adapt to changing priorities.

**Physical Requirements**:

- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds).
- Comfortable working in a retail environment with exposure to various weather conditions (if applicable).
- Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
