**What the role entails**

This role is a great opportunity for an individual to be a part of a team whose motive is to achieve Rio Tinto Group vision of “Zero Harm”.

**Reporting line**:Manager
- HSES Reporting & Analytics

**Scope**:Your scope will include (but not limited to) below:

- Collecting, analyzing, and presenting HSE performance data efficiently.
- Designing and delivery of internal and external reports, dashboard, and metrics accurately.
- Conducting data quality checks to ensure insightful information is provided without any errors.
- Looking at performance trends at various levels to identify high and low performing businesses/assets based on Rio Tinto’s HSE metrics.
- Benchmarking company's HSE performance with other mining companies as well as other industries to find further improvement opportunities and industry best practices.
- Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
- Use predictive modelling to increase and optimize HSES data for informed decisions.
- Liaising with business contacts across the company to ensure all significant incidents are investigated and closed with appropriate actions and learning within stipulated time.
- Supporting independent third-party assurance activities to verify the safety performance data.
- Managing back-ups in team to ensure business continuity.

**About Yourself**
- A Professional qualification - Graduate/Post-Graduate in any of disciplines.
- At least 4 - 7 years of progressive experience
- ** Experienced in text mining (structured/unstructured). Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.**:

- ** Good knowledge of statistical analysis, correlation, linear regression, text mining, and predictive analysis would be highly preferred.**:

- Strong analytical bent of mind and exposure to statistical tool, analytics tools, reporting tool Power BI (must)
- Strong ability to priorities information and activities based on urgency and importance.
- Intermediate to expert level computer literacy skills (including the Microsoft Office suite of programs).
