**Officer - Purchase**

The jobholder need to manages the North region consist of Manesar, Chandigarh & Jamshedpur for operational procurement activities, consist of Supply chain management, risk analysis Planning, inventory management, procurement process improvements while working within Oerlikon’s ERP systems.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Managing Local procurement activities including Planning, Supply chain management, Inventory management.
- Definition and Leading of Sourcing projects and activities for Region.
- Manage the Purchasing network, including interdisciplinary and cross functional coordination. Ensure communication with internal stakeholders, transfer information quickly and correctly.
- Manage performance indicators regarding quality, cost/spend as well as on-time delivery.
- Identifies and implements cost reduction & savings opportunities through savings reporting tool (STEP).
- Supplier Pre-qualification, Evaluation and Development.
- Handling Local/Global RFQ, negotiations & Contracting.
- Initiates and assists with Request for Quotation (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes for national and regional or global suppliers.
- Planning, preparing procurement related workflows and processes.
- Assists in contract negotiations with suppliers regarding terms and conditions, pricing and contract language to align with strategic business goals.
- Manage the Purchasing network, including interdisciplinary and cross functional coordination. Ensure communication with internal stakeholders, transfer information quickly and correctly.
- Manage performance indicators regarding quality, cost/spend as well as on-time delivery.
- Identifies and implements cost reduction & savings opportunities through savings reporting tool (STEP).
- Supports to identify and implement improve suppliers payment terms, and negotiates contracts where appropriate.
- Analyzes of data to identify spending trends, identify risk areas and recommend cost savings opportunities
- Initiates and maintains electronic information sharing between suppliers and the Company with regard to vendor set-up, invoice and payment information to ensure accurate and timely correspondence within contract guidelines.
- Performs timely Spend Analysis and actions against.
- Project management, Self-initiate and support from Procurement side in regard to technical and services buying, supplier evaluation and product cost optimization (Design to cost) and qualification.
- Launching & Monitoring Local/Global E-sourcing inquiries through eSourcing tools (e.g. TIContract).
- Contracting of Local/Global suppliers like, LTA (Long term agreement), FA (Frame Agreement).

Your Profile:

- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or technical/financial area
- An MBA is a plus
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in procurement (proficiency in key sourcing and purchasing processes, management of tenders & contracts, etc.), Experience in Direct & Indirect purchasing processes.

**Knowledge & Skills Summary**:

- Knowledge of sourcing processes and best practices in Procurement.
- Knowledge of Supply chain management including Import/Export regulations.
- Inventory Management as per company guideline/ norms.
- Excellent written/verbal/presentation communication skills.
- English as the working language is a must both written and oral/presentation; Other European language will be a great asset
- Excellent negotiating skills with emphasis on handling confrontational situations with suppliers.
- Data driven, strategic thinker, addresses partner and internal / external customer needs;
- Assertive and strong team player
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP system, and Proficient User of MS Office Suite is a MUST
- Ability to interact with multiple levels of leadership internally and externally, and ability to participate and lead in a cross-functional, team-oriented environment.
- Intercultural adaptability
- Presentation and persuasion skills to effectively articulate difficult ideas and concepts and build cross-department collaborations
- Willing to travel as needed during projects or assignments.
