Introduction:

- To play a key role in supporting the functions new regulatory requirements, including the rollout of a new framework in line with the PRA’s latest supervisory statements: SS1/23.
- Assist in the design of the new Quantitative Process (QP) framework, including control and governance requirements.
- Responsible for implementation testing and documenting analysis for QPs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across all areas of the firm to conduct working groups and be a point of contact for the function.
- Engage with different areas of the bank including 1LOD, MRM internal teams and Technology partners to support risk management.
- Contribute to new QP publication & standards.

What will you be doing?
- Actively support the function with the establishment of the new QP framework in line with the PRA SS1/23.
- Assist in the 2024 Inventory collection actively analyse new QPs to determine if they are applicable “use cases” for pilot programs.
- Be a key person in the team with respect to independently performing and documenting implementation testing & analysis of QPs.
- Actively review QP “Use Cases”, understand the calculation methodology and can determine if the level of controls and governance are adequate from a 1LOD perspective.
- The role holder will have the ability to justify & defend their analysis and conclusions
- Work with a plethora of stakeholders on pilot programs within key areas to gain feedback & drive continuous improvement to the framework.
- Be pivotal in helping the function establishing requisite controls and governance. Including delivering key analysis on where new controls are required.
- Become an important contact & provide support for 1LOD with respect to QP Inventory submissions.
- Help the team to prepare for & coordinate the 2025 Annual Inventory Attestation, including and changes required in GMD.
- Monitor & analyse model inventory changes as the framework develops.
- Assist the team in assembling the new QP Policy & Standards.
- Provide support to the team when responding to any Internal/external Audit or Regulatory queries.
- When required, review and update process documents, including procedure steps.
- Proactively identify process improvements and automation opportunities and work with relevant teams to implement efficiency.
- Familiarity with Model governance concepts, model risk policies and frameworks.
- Support in the creation of the new QP reporting requirements in line with key regulations such as BCBS239.

What we’re looking for:

- Sufficient experience in Data understanding / handling and manipulations, data control and its importance
- Ability to understand Risk and/or banking products and explain them at a high level.
- Demonstrated experience with embedding controls, with respect testing or defining.
- Ability to understand data science concepts, discuss data science solutions, propose, and implement solutions.
- Functional Experience

a. Experience to review mathematical methodology / calculation, ability to review the data process followed and identify any gap.

b. Ability to analyse, design and automate processes.

c. Ability to understand, discuss, design, and implement solutions. Should be able to write code when necessary.

d. Ability to run projects independently and has a grasp of PM concepts and best practices.
- A master’s degree in business science, Math or related field.
- Collaboration & Team working - Collaborative mindset with ability to work in cross-functional teams across geography.
- Conceptual thinking - Ability to think strategically and to focus on the whole portfolio of MRM activities.
- Communication - Strong communication skills with the ability to package ideas and results in a logical, understandable way for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Quality and Controls - Ability to assess validity of work delivered.
- Time management skills - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

- Domain Knowledge - Banking & Finance
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Qlik & Tableau.
- Exposure to SharePoint.
- Exposure to statistical math.
