Introduction:
The role of the Governance and Engagement team is to support the Group Head of Model Risk Management in articulating and governing the key model risks across the firm.

The role holder will sit within the Governance & Engagement team and will primarily be responsible for supporting the delivery of governance and reporting associated with Connected Risks.

What will you be doing?
The role holder will predominantly support the Reporting arm of the team with the following duties & responsibilities, with a primary focus on managing the requisite governance forums and reporting for Connected Risks:

- Model Risk Reporting:

- Support with the oversight, delivery and enhancement of governance reporting for MRM and non-MRM meetings
- Support the establishment of new forums and deliverables, including a Connected Risk Forum, requisite connected risk reporting and various SS1/23 deliverables.
- Support with the oversight and delivery of BCBS239 activities for in-scope reports
- Support with the effective operation, management and enhancement of the Model Risk governance framework
- The role holder may also support the broader Governance & Engagement team on other activities, not limited to weekly roadmaps, action trackers, agenda setting, MRM training, process documentation and continuous improvement initiatives.

What we’re looking for:

- Experience of operating within a Risk and/or Control environment
- Experience of operating within a reporting and/or governance environment
- An ability to effectively review, synthesise and interrogate data/information
- High quality verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels of seniority
- A team player who is comfortable working in a dynamic environment and with a variety of stakeholders at various levels of seniority
- Ability to manage multiple deliverables in parallel, prioritise these accordingly and meet their associated deadlines
- Highly organised and proactive, with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite

Skills that will help you in the role:

- An understanding of the Barclays organisation structure
- Experience of Model Risk Management frameworks
- An ability to execute secretariat duties and responsibilities
- Experience working with quantitative teams
- Experience of operating within a change management role
- Experience in the documentation of processes and procedures
- An understanding of the Barclays Control Framework
- An understanding of the Operational Risk and Controls (ORAC) system
- An understanding of the Standardised Control Book (SCB) reporting solution
