**Position: Admin cum Finance Officer**
**Location: Chetpet, Chennai**
The Admin cum Finance Officer support to admin process, payables, assist with the general ledger, process purchase orders, vendor payments, staff travel, and activity facilitation. Admin cum Finance Officer is responsible for the completeness and accuracy of the books of accounts, compilation of reports, and ensuring timeliness of all payments and recording of transactions.
**Note: NGO experience is mandatory**
**Admin cum Finance Officer will be responsible for**:
- Maintaining accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Manage day-to-day accounting and admin operations and ensure that there is a redundant process backup in place for every critical operation
- Generating, compiling, maintaining, and reviewing financial reports
- Helping in preparing budgets and financial statements
- Processing Bills/Invoices
- Verifying billing invoices, distribution, and follow-ups for payments
- Assisting in payroll processing and tax filings
- Preparation of Management Reports whenever required
- Verifying records for inconsistencies or errors and correcting them
- Assisting in internal and company audits
- Ensuring compliance with local, state, and national requirements and regulations.
- Registers for control of inventory/supplies
- Manage Imprest & advances
- Tracking timely settlement of imprests & advances
- Payment of rent and other monthly dues
- Scrutinize travel and project claims
- Documentation assurances for all transactions
- Records management
- Coordination with procurement
- Complying with all applicable policies
- TDS, GST, and other statutory obligations
- Insurance payouts
**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in admin or finance with 4-6 years of related experience
- Sound knowledge of working principles and practices of accounting
- Exposure to non-profit organizations desired
- Strong problem-solving skills and impeccable attention to detail, timeliness, and accuracy
- Ability to speak, understand, read, and write in English
- Strong understanding of Accounting, Finance, Banking, Taxation and Reporting principles
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
- Good computer skills e.g. MS Word, PowerPoint, MS Excel
