**Job description**
- This position is responsible for Battery Electric System Design at Under Ground Mining Equipment Division for Material Handling and Drilling Equipment.
- Taking a lead role in enriching technical aspects of EV system design and development throughout the product development life cycle in the area of Electric System to meet performance, reliability, quality and cost objectives of the program.
- Have a thorough understanding of prototypes, which includes hardware design, software development, EMC compliance, and functional testing.
- Cross-domain engineering skills, for example a basic understanding of mechanical engineering.
- Embedded product development, including in-vehicle and outside-vehicle deployment of various data networking protocol.
- Electrical & Electronics to develop skills in multi-disciplinary technology design. Ability to communicate (ability to explain technical information and requirements)
- Integration of Vehicles and Systems Vehicle Design and Engineering Mechanics of Vehicles, Matlab, Simulink, and other programming languages.
- Design of Electric Motors.
- The process of testing, validation, and certification utilised in the design of electric vehicles.
- Knowledge of embedded C programming and ECUs Electric Powertrain Controls and its Features, Control system development.
- Design based on models Data fusion and signal/image processing Battery Engineering and Battery Management Systems (Battery Engineering and Battery Management Systems) CAN and associated protocols,
- Technology for sensing and actuation.

**Qualification and Experience: -**
- A Bachelors / Master s degree in domains such as Automotive, Mechanical, EEE, ECE, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Power Electronics.
- Professional Qualification / Skills
- Working experience of around 15 to 20 Years in Construction / Mining Equipment /Automobile R&D
- Cross-domain engineering skills: This implies implementing and managing modeling and optimization methods and tools, which are integrated in a systemic approach.
- Subject Matter Knowledge in a broad spectrum of technologies like:

- Electric Powertrain Controls and their features
- Matlab, Simulink,
- Vehicle Mechanics,
- Vehicle Architecture,
- Electric Motor Design,
- Battery Engineering and Battery Management Systems,
- Vehicle & System Integration,
- Testing, Validation, and Certification process used in Electric Vehicle Design,

**Personality requirements**:

- Energetic, positive, open minded, team player, willing to learn.
- Good communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Analytical skills with a structured and accurate way of working are preferred.
- Self-starter and ability to take responsibility of the mission is a prerequisite.
