Accounts Executive

**Key Responsibilities**:
- **TDS Compliance**:
- Calculate and deduct TDS on payments as per applicable tax laws.
- File TDS returns and ensure timely deposit of TDS to the government.
- Maintain TDS records and issue TDS certificates to vendors and employees.
- Handle TDS-related queries from tax authorities and internal stakeholders.
- **GST Management**:
- Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, etc.) accurately and on time.
- Reconcile GST input tax credits and ensure proper documentation for all GST transactions.
- Stay updated with GST regulations and amendments, and implement necessary changes.
- Address GST-related queries and issues from vendors and customers.
- **Balance Sheet Preparation**:
- Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date balance sheets.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure all entries are accurately recorded.
- Assist in monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
- Analyze balance sheet discrepancies and provide recommendations for improvements.
- **Financial Reporting**:
- Prepare financial statements and reports, including profit and loss statements and cash flow statements.
- Provide analysis and insights on financial performance and trends.
- Assist in budget preparation and financial forecasting.
- **General Accounting**:
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentation and explanations.
- **Other Duties**:
- Participate in process improvement initiatives and contribute to accounting best practices.
- Perform ad-hoc accounting tasks and special projects as required.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on TDS, GST, and balance sheet management.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
**Experience**:
- 4-7 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Experience with TDS and GST compliance is essential.
- Familiarity with financial reporting and balance sheet preparation.
