As a Business Development Manager (BDM) with experience in the Business-to-Business (B2B) sector and a background in educational technology (edtech), your job description (JD) would likely include the following responsibilities:

- **Market Research**: Conducting market research to identify potential clients and market trends in the edtech industry, including analyzing competitor offerings and identifying opportunities for growth.
- **Client Acquisition**: Identifying and acquiring new B2B clients in the edtech sector, including schools, educational institutions, and other organizations, through lead generation, networking, and relationship building.
- **Partnership Development**: Developing partnerships and collaborations with other companies, organizations, and educational institutions to expand the reach and impact of the edtech products and services.
- **Sales Strategy**: Developing and implementing sales strategies to meet revenue targets and business objectives, including pricing strategies, sales forecasting, and negotiation of contracts.
- **Customer Relationship Management**: Managing relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction and retention, including regular communication, addressing concerns, and identifying upselling opportunities.
- **Marketing Support**: Working closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials, campaigns, and strategies to support sales efforts and increase brand awareness in the edtech market.
- **Data Analysis**: Analyzing sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and inform decision-making in product development and sales strategies.
- **Team Collaboration**: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and customer support, to ensure alignment of goals and effective execution of business plans.
- **Industry Networking**: Building and maintaining a strong network within the edtech industry, including attending conferences, events, and networking with industry professionals to stay informed about industry trends and opportunities.
