**About the Company

Position: Sound Board Operator

Experience: 3-5 years

Reporting to: HOD

Industries Preferred: Events, Production, etc.

Software & Hardware knowledge: Waves e-motion Lv1 with MidiFit plus

Key Responsibilities:
1. Equipment Setup:

- Install and set up audio equipment, including microphones, amplifiers, speakers, and mixing boards.
- Ensure all connections are secure and troubleshoot any technical issues that may arise during setup.

2. Sound Check:

- Conduct sound checks before performances to test and adjust audio levels for optimal sound quality.
- Collaborate with performers, directors, and other production staff to understand their audio requirements.

3. Live Operation:

- Operate mixing consoles during live events, adjusting volume levels, equalization, and other audio settings as needed.
- Monitor audio signals for any distortions, feedback, or other issues, and make real-time adjustments to ensure a high-quality audio experience.

4. Collaboration:

- Communicate effectively with performers, directors, and technical staff to understand and fulfill their audio needs.
- Collaborate with the production team to integrate audio elements seamlessly into the overall production.

5. Troubleshooting:

- Quickly identify and resolve technical issues related to audio equipment during live performances.
- Have a thorough understanding of the equipment to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.

6. Maintenance:

- Perform routine maintenance on audio equipment to ensure its proper functioning.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or the need for repairs to the appropriate personnel.

7. Documentation:

- Maintain accurate records of audio setup configurations, settings, and any changes made during performances.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improvements to enhance the overall audio experience.

**Job Expectations**:
Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Sound Board Operator or similar role in live events, performances, or productions.
- In-depth knowledge of audio equipment, sound systems, and acoustics.
- Familiarity with various types of microphones, amplifiers, speakers, and mixing consoles.
- Ability to work under pressure and make real-time adjustments during live events.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of industry-standard audio software and digital audio workstations is a plus.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by event schedules.

**Education**:
A degree or certification in audio engineering, sound production, or a related field is preferred. However, practical experience and a strong portfolio may be considered in lieu of formal education.
